What we collect
To use Cleru, we collect: your email address and a username (to create your account); your device's location, only at the moment you post something (to confirm you're actually at the shop, which keeps the feed trustworthy); photos you take within the app to create a post; and, if you enable notifications, a push notification token so we can alert you when a shop you follow posts something new.
How we use it
Your location is used solely to verify you're at the shop when you post -- it's checked at that moment and isn't tracked in the background or stored beyond what's needed for that check. Your email is used for account access and, if you choose, account-related communication. Photos you post are shown publicly in the app as part of your post. Push tokens are used only to deliver notifications about shops you follow.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't track your location in the background or outside of the moment you create a post. We don't share your information with third parties except the infrastructure providers needed to run the app (our database and authentication provider, and push notification delivery).
Your choices
You can delete individual posts at any time from your profile. You can disable location and camera permissions in your device settings, though doing so will prevent you from creating new posts, since both are required to verify a post is genuine. You can request account deletion by contacting us at the email below.
